It's official! 360 is part of revalidation starting in 2010

Support through 360 degree feedback

The new process of Revalidation has been described as "the biggest change to UK healthcare since 1858" and Minister of State John Denham stated back in 2000: "We want to ensure that the system of revalidation on which the GMC has been working for some time fits well with the system of annual appraisal of doctors in the NHS and wider systems of governance...The system must be seamless without duplication of time and effort in collecting information." 360 Clinical is a market leader in 360 degree clinician assessment for all medical professionals, including: doctors, nurses and midwives. Our dedicated, professional technical team run a unique helpline throughout the week so that help is always at hand. Ongoing communications with key stakeholders (GMC, DoH, BAMM, RST and Royal Colleges) aim to ensure that 360 Clinical are as up to date as possible with MSF development for the medical profession and its link with Revalidation.

The core questionnaire on the 360 degree feedback assessment tool system is the validated tool researched and designed by the Royal College of Physicians (view research ).  The RCP was charged with producing a generic MSF tool for use by any senior doctor regardless of specialty.  Analysis of existing questionnaires, focus groups and consultation of over 100 doctors took place.  Once the questionnaire had been produced, 977 doctors from a range of specialties took part in the peer and patient questionnaire study.
